Local entrepreneurs see economic rebound

A recent survey conducted by The Entrepreneurs' Organization indicates 62 percent of Cincinnati-area entrepreneurs think they'll see increased net profits in 2013.  Forty-one percent of those surveyed expect to hire more full-time employees, while 50 percent expect to hire more part-time workers.

The survey included 43 Cincinnati-area companies with at least $1 million in annual revenue.  Overall, the average respondent grosses $3.4 million in revenue.

"The results from the survey underscores that Cincinnati businesses are thriving despite the current economic climate," said Mark Schmidt, Entrepreneurs' Organization Cincinnati Chapter President.  "We expect our businesses to continue growing, and we expect the market to rebound in a positive way."

The local numbers are comparable to global numbers that show 59 percent of entrepreneurs' around the world expect to see increasing net profits during the coming six months; 56 percent plan to hire more full-time workers; and 62 percent plan to hire part-time employees.

The Entrepreneurs' Organization is a global network of more than 8,000 business owners in 40 countries.
