Northern KY Health District Director Leaving Dec. 31

The head of the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department is stepping down. Lynne Saddler, MD, is leaving her position effective Dec. 31.

In a release, Saddler said this is a a good time for the agency to transition to new leadership.

"NKY is in a much better point in the pandemic now, as COVID-19 vaccinations continue to increase, and the agency can start planning for the future with new leadership and fresh perspectives," Saddler said.

Saddler has worked for NKY Health since September 2010.

A special meeting will take place on April 14 at 6 p.m. to discuss the search process for the position. That includes designating a search committee and selecting an interim director effective July 1. It will be streamed on the NKY Health Facebook page.

More than 41,000 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Northern Kentucky during the pandemic, resulting in 422 deaths.
