Olivia Frances and 'The Art Carvers of Music Hall'

Olivia Frances' album 'Back to Happiness' is available from iTunes and CDbaby

Olivia Frances calls Nashville home, but she has not forgotten her Cincinnati roots.

Frances' music is featured in "The Art Carvers of Music Hall" - a short film by Melissa Godoy that is returning to Cincinnati World Cinema as part of their Women in Film Weekend, December 6 & 7.

"The Art Carvers of Music Hall" tells the true story of 108 local women artisans and their role in one of the largest and most important public art commissions in Cincinnati’s history — the carved organ screen for Music Hall’s historic Hook & Hastings organ of 1878.  Godoy's film illuminates an important but largely forgotten role that Cincinnati women played in establishing the decorative and musical arts in Cincinnati.

Frances is also donating a portion of the proceeds from a remix of her song “Head to Toe” to the VH1Save The Music Foundationto help ensure that music education will continue to enrich the lives of the next generation of artists.
