Politics Chat: Will Your Absentee Ballot Be Counted?

Aug 28, 2020

A survey by the Enquirer showed that in the April primary elections, about 21,000 absentee ballots in Ohio weren't counted.

But Howard Wilkinson, senior politics analyst, says it would  be a mistake to think that all of those were because of problems with late delivery of the U.S. mail. Wilkinson told News Director Maryanne Zeleznik that there are many other reasons for not counting ballots - missing signatures; signatures that don't match the ones on file with the board of elections;and other mistakes.

All of them, Wilkinson said, are avoidable if the voter knows the rules going in.
