Questioning federal sentencing guidlines for child pornography

  

Child pornography is one of the most loathsome of crimes, and over the years legislators have increased punishments for those convicted of child pornography offenses. But many legal experts are questioning whether current federal sentencing guidelines pertaining to child pornography are too harsh, or don’t reflect the realities of today’s digital technology. Here to look at recent trends in research and sentencing in child pornography cases is Thomas Rose, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Ohio.
