Raising Our Children With A Better Understanding Of Money, Debt, Credit, Etc.

Aug 21, 2015

Children should be taught the value of money and how to manage it before they get out into the work world.

Though efforts to teach students how to navigate the world of credit, debt, budgets and savings has improved dramatically over the last decade, many high school and even college students graduate with no real sense of how to manage money.

Joining us to discuss the importance of financial literacy are Dr. Valerie Krugh, director of School Relations with The Economics Center at the University of Cincinnati; Brian Page, Outreach and Education manager for Budget Challenge, the road test for personal finance; and Chris DeSimio, a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors in Cincinnati.
