Online shopping and banking, social media sites, smartphones and tables and ever-growing free wi-fi networks and provided us with an amazing amount of freedom and convenience. Sadly, it has done the same for criminals. Malware, email phishing schemes, massive data breaches at national retailers such as Target and Home Depot, and plain old theft, more than 3 million smartphones were stolen in the United States last year, put our most personal and vital information at risk.
