From America Abroad: Host Madeline Brand examines modern day Tibet from a spiritual, political, and cultural perspective.  You’ll learn more about Tibetan Buddhism, and the romantic appeal of the religion and the Tibetan people as well as the role of the Dalai Lama and what might happen after he passes.

She also takes a look at modern Tibetan culture and examines what parts are able to thrive and what parts are being subverted by Chinese influence. Finally, this special program ends with an exploration of American foreign policy in Tibet and the role of activists in the diaspora community in India as well as the US.
