Traffic changes coming along riverfront

The Banks Partnership

Traffic along Cincinnati's riverfront is getting a little more tricky for a few weeks.

Lane closures and detours start Monday morning while crews work on constructing a new pedestrian bridge on Pete Rose Way and what's known as the Dumbo Lot at Third and Broadway and removing the Race Street bridge deck.

Sidewalks in those areas will also be closed for certain periods.

The traffic disruptions are slated to run through early August.

WHERE
Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Johnny Bench Way will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. Monday, July 8 until Friday, July 12 at 6 p.m.

Center lanes and the north sidewalk on Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Johnny Bench Way will be closed beginning 9 a.m. Monday, July 8 until early August; south sidewalk and one lane in each direction (at minimum) will remain open.

Sidewalks and one lane of traffic on the southwest corner of Third & Broadway (between Third and Pete Rose Way) will close at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8 for four weeks.

Race Street south of Freedom Way and parking Lot D (below) will incur removal and repair work, without major disruption of traffic. The south curb lane on Freedom Way may be closed on July 8 and July 9.
