Training Tomorrow's Doctors

The Association of American Medical Colleges predicts the U.S. will face a shortage of 140,000 doctors by 2025. Medical schools and residency programs are changing the way they train physicians to best adapt to future healthcare needs, and meet the growing shortage of doctors. Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Department of Medical Education Chair at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Andrew Filak, UC College of Medicine Chair and Fred Lazarus Jr Endowed Professor of Family and Community Medicine, Dr. Philip Diller, and Dr. Marjorie Bowman, dean of the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine    discuss physician training.
