Veteran Middle East reporter Linda Gradstein shares her thoughts on the state of that region

 

 Linda Gradsteinwas NPR?'s primary reporter in Israel for almost two decades and can now be heard providing reports to PRI's The World. She is also Middle East Bureau Chief for The Media Line. During her career, she reported on many key events in the Middle East, including the rise of Hamas, the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, the Persian Gulf War and Israeli elections. Linda Gradstein is in town for a talk at the University of Cincinnati and she joins us to talk about what she has observed in the Middle East, and her thoughts on the current state of the region.
