For the second time in three years, Thoroughbred horse racing trainer Bob Baffert has his eyes set on the Triple Crown. Justify held off the charging horses Saturday in capturing the Preakness in Baltimore. Now, it's on to the Belmont on June 9. Kentucky Thorougbred Association Director Chauncey Morris says Baffert does have a bit of history on his side.

"One trainer, if they've done it, there is a chance that they could do it again," he says. "Mr. Baffert is certainly a brilliant trainer."

Morris says trainer Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons had two Triple Crown winners, Gallant Fox and Omaha, five years apart in the 1930s. He says Calumet Farm in Lexington produced Whirlaway and Citation, both Triple Crown winners some seven years apart in the 1940s.

"There are a lot of great horses still in this generation," Morris says. "Everybody is going to need to make up their mind whether they're going to go on to Belmont or not. All the hype about Justify, well, like his name, no question that it's justified."
