In that time Shackleton and his crew became stranded on an island, made an 800-mile voyage across the treacherous Southern Ocean, climbed over glaciated mountains to reach a whaling station, ultimately rescuing his remaining crew left stranded. In the winter of 2013, Explorer Tim Jarvis set out to re-enact Shackleton’s journey.
