On September 11, 2001, as terrorist attacks besieged New York City and Washington, D.C., airlines saw their flights diverted. One such flight was Delta Flight 37 from London Gatwick to CVG Airport. Glenn Prasser was one of the passengers aboard that flight as it was diverted to Newfoundland and where they would spend the next four days, slowly learning about what was happening in the U.S.

"Hamilton" Is Coming To Cincinnati In 2019

The excitement is building towards the Cincinnati stop of the Broadway musical phenomenon Hamilton in early 2019. 

Val Emmich will be signing his new book, Dear Evan Hansen, based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway production, on Thursday, October 11th at 7pm at Joseph Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Pavilion.  Mr. Emmich will be accompanied by two of the songwriters with the play and performing with them songs from the production in an unusual twist to a regular booksigning event.

Jim Stump discussed with him the plot of the play, how he worked some of the music into the book, and also telling the backstories of some of the characters.

Broadway in Cincinnati is bringing the musical to the Aronoff Center's stage from April 30th to May 12th, 2019.  

While highlighted by the first visit of the smash hit Hamilton, the 2018-19 Broadway in Cincinnati has a line-up featuring new and classic favorites. 

The announcement of the 2017-2018 season from Broadway in Cincinnati, with a hint at a popular show coming during the 2018-2019 season, has musical theatre fans excited. 

The 2016-17 Broadway in Cincinnati season has been announced, and it's a mix of fresh-from-New York productions (Something Rotten, Matilda the Musical, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical) and the return of classics like The Sound of Music and The Phantom of the Opera.

Two members of the touring company of the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots are from Cincinnati and stopped by our studio recently to talk with Jim Stump.
