Diana Frey

The Bureau of Prisons confirms Diana Frey, former president of Cincinnati Organized and Dedicated Employees (CODE) sentenced in 2012 on embezzlement charges, is now on home confinement and will be released March 20, 2015.

Bureau spokesman Chris Burke says Frey was transferred from Alderson prison camp in West Virginia to a Cincinnati halfway house September 22. She began home confinement October 30.

A former Cincinnati union president is now in custody in West Virginia.  The Federal Bureau of prisons lists Diana Frey as an inmate at Alderson a minimum security facility for female offenders.  Frey was sentenced in June after pleading guilty to stealing 750-thousand dollars from the Cincinnati Organized and Dedicated Employees union.  In Court Frey said she will spend the rest of her life trying to make it up to her family and union members and repay the debt.  Her release date is listed as March 20, 2016.   

A former Cincinnati union president is expected to report to prison Tuesday.

Diana Frey has had just over two months to prepare herself for four years behind bars. The sentence handed down by Judge Susan Dlott in June was for more time than federal guidelines recommended. She called the white-collar crime serious.
