Cox Media Group says it has been granted a 60-day extension to continue publishing daily newspapers in Dayton, Hamilton, Middletown and Springfield while looking for a new buyer for the papers.

Big changes are coming to the area's longtime newspapers.

The Cincinnati Enquirer returns to its large "broadsheet" format on Tuesday, Jan. 7, after five years as a smaller tabloid.

5:40 p.m. Friday Oct. 25 update:  Low-power WKRP-TV (Channels 20 and 25) returned to the airwaves at 5:30 p.m. Friday for the first time in more than a week.

The 10 WKRP multiplex channels went dark Thursday, Oct. 17,  for the digital channel "repack" (TV frequency changes) on Oct. 18.

They're back! Low-power WKRP TV (Channel 25) has added two networks from sister station WOTH-TV (Channel 20), which stopped broadcasting Tuesday.
