Update 4 p.m. Thursday Aug. 20: Fox Sports has dropped Thom Brennaman from NFL games this fall because of his use of a gay slur during the Reds' doubleheader Wednesday.

Brennamman, 56, has been a NFL play-by-play announcer since 1994, when the network acquired the TV contract for the NFL's NFC division.

All 162 Reds games will be televised again this year – with 159 games on Fox Sports Ohio, and three national games on Fox Sports 1.

Tricia Macke's model TV career – she has the longest continuous tenure of Cincinnati's four late news anchorwomen – came only after Macke giving up her modeling career.

Macke is the only remaining original member of WXIX-TV's news team which celebrates its 25th anniversary today. The city's fourth late newscast premiered on Oct. 18, 1993.

Update noon Tuesday, Aug. 7: Yes! A Football Life producers have found video of Cris Collinsworth racing a bay horse at Latonia Race Course in 1983, and video of Collinsworth's Wilmbledon features for HBO, his first sports broadcasting.  The NFL Network also has set the date for the Collinsworth episode.

The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons face off in Super Bowl LI this Sunday. While most fans will tune-in to watch the action on the field, according to Prosper Insights and Analytics, almost 18 percent  of adults say the commercials are the most important part of Super Bowl Sunday.

WSTR-TV will simulcast ESPN3's "USL Game of the Week" Saturday in Louisville between Cincinnati and Louisville City FC, with Cincinnati native Heather Mitts as a sidelines reporter.
