When you think of Cincinnati ambassadors, no list is complete without the city's Queen of Mixology, Molly Wellmann. She's in the studio with David Delegator to talk about her life, her career, her book, and her new passion project, Kind Is The New Cool, which addresses bullying in schools.

Molly Wellmann is well-known locally as a successful businesswoman, master mixologist, speaker, author and bar owner. Now, Wellmann, owner of Japp's Since 1879, and former owner of the recently closed Myrtle's Punch House in East Walnut Hills, has received national recognition. Last month, Nightclub & Bar Media Group unanimously named her Bartender-Owner of the Year.

Molly Wellmann has been keeping a secret.

In December, Nightclub & Bar, the bar world's major trade organization based in Las Vegas, told Wellmann, owner of Japp's and Myrtle's Punch House, that she was nominated for their Best Bartender/Owner of the Year award. A week ago, she found out that she was picked unanimously for this prestigious award, making her the first winner in Cincinnati, or even outside of New York, San Francisco or Las Vegas.
