The Newbees

One of the area's most popular live music duos are Jeff and Misty Perholtz, better known as The Newbees. This year, they are celebrating 15 years of the band known for outstanding originals and a love for performing The Beatles songbook. They visited recently with our Elaine Diehl for conversation and a performance, engineered by Cincinnati Public Radio's Rick Andress, in advance of their anniversary celebration on August 10 at the Southgate House Revival.

We weren't able to air the entire conversation with Misty and Jeff or all the music they performed, so here's the full interview with more music from The Newbees:

Music And Conversation With The Newbees

Apr 13, 2018

One of Cincinnati's most popular bands is The Newbees, led by Jeff and Misty Perholtz.  The band uses a variety of line-ups, sometimes performing all Beatles music, but now doing more and more original material.

Elaine Diehl welcomes Jeff and Misty to our Corbett Studio for a conversation and some great live music.

Jim Nolan talks with Misty Perholtz and Tim Seiwart from the band The Newbees about the April 17 fundraising concert, We All Shrine On, at the Southgate House Revival in Newport. The event will feature many local bands and musicians performing Beatles music and will benefit the Cincinnati Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
