The full Cincinnati Council approved an ordinance Wednesday directing the city manager to set up implicit and explicit bias training.

Two Cincinnati police officers could still face punishment for using a racial slur. The two were recorded on body cameras using the N-word during two separate interactions with the public. The internal investigation into the incidents is continuing, according to Chief Eliot Isaac.

Cincinnati council members are calling for a study to identify city practices that may contribute to institutional racism. Seven members signed a motion directing the city manager to put money in the next budget to fund the disparity study.
