The annual, weekend-long beer festival Bockfest, in Over-the-Rhine, is back Friday, Feb. 28, kicking things off with a parade, followed by festivities that include a 5K run. All activities require some road closures throughout the weekend.

The 2020 Cincinnati Women's March will take place downtown on Saturday, Jan. 18 and will cause some road closures.

With AAA expecting Thanksgiving 2019 to be the busiest holiday travel season since 2005, local commuters should also expect to hit some additional road blocks thanks to street closures around Downtown Cincinnati this Thursday and Friday.

Two events take place this weekend that require some road closures. Here's what you need to know before heading out the door.

Blink isn't the only event happening in the Tri-State this weekend. The Queen Bee Half Marathon takes place Saturday, Oct. 12, through various parts of Cincinnati and requires a number of road closures.

If you're traveling to or near Downtown this weekend, take note: Oktoberfest and the Hudy 14K will close some streets. Here's what you need to know:

Think downtown streets are free and clear following Sunday's Riverfest? Think again. Monday morning, the Aruna Run - held to raise awareness about human trafficking in Asia - takes place, further impacting access to downtown streets.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is removing a few orange barrels from the roadways ahead of the holiday weekend. ODOT spokesman Matt Bruning says it's an effort to reduce congestion.

Saturday is Cincinnati's Pride Parade, a celebration of the LGBTQ community and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York City, and that will cause the closing of some roads.

The selection of a contractor and a plan to make the Roebling Suspension Bridge safe for traffic again means the bridge could be open by the end of July.  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Structural Systems Repair Group will install netting to the north tower to catch any sandstone pieces that might fall.

Riverside Drive, east of Downtown Cincinnati, will be completely shut down starting Monday for five weeks while construction crews work on a storm sewer project.

The Super Hero 5K, Redlegs Run, Pendleton Spring Fling and 3 Fest all take place this week and require road closures downtown. Here's what will be affected: 

Friday, June 7 

The Super Hero 5K happens Friday evening at 7 p.m., causing the following streets to close at 6:30 p.m:

Downtown is hosting several events this Memorial Day Weekend, and as such various streets and Metro routes are affected.

The Over-the-Rhine 5K on Saturday, May 18, and the Kidney Walk on Sunday, May 19 will disrupt some access to streets Downtown this weekend. Here is what's affected:

The Cincinnati Food Truck Association kicks off its 2019 food truck season with "Spring Swing," a food truck festival on Wednesday, May 15 from 4-10 p.m. As such, a few streets downtown will be affected. 


The weekend-long Asian Food Fest and the Girls on the Run 5K on Saturday will impact some streets near The Banks. Here is what's affected when:

The 21st annual Flying Pig Marathon is Sunday, May 5, and it has many streets around Greater Cincinnati closed, some as early as Thursday. The city advises drivers to plan ahead and avoid streets along the race route. Here's what you need to know:

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Cincinnati Reds and the 100th anniversary of the Findlay Market Opening Day parade, making both events particularly special for Cincinnati's unofficial holiday this March 28.

Whether or not you plan to attend, knowing what roads will be closed due to the parade and where parking will be restricted for the game will ensure your day is a home run.

The Heart Mini Marathon takes place on Sunday, March 10, and as such some streets Downtown and in the riverfront areas, as well as parts of Columbia Parkway will be closed. This also affects some bus routes.
