Ohio School Report Card

On Cincinnati Edition's weekly news review, local journalists join us to talk about the big stories from recent days.

It's the first time the district has met state standards since the education department began using the star rating system.

Many area school districts met or exceeded the state's overall standard benchmark of three stars, while 10 local districts far exceeded the standard, earning the highest rating possible.

Dozens of southwest Ohio districts met or exceeded the 3-star standard this year, and 10 local districts received the highest possible overall rating.

The report card states the decrease in learning was seen more among students in districts that "primarily used fully remote or hybrid education delivery models."
