CINCINNATI SPORTS CLUB HOSTING MONTHLY CHAIR YOGA CLASSES FREE AND OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY
Beacon Orthopedics physician Dr. Nicole Goddard, (Doctor of Osteopathy,) will be hosting complimentary chair yoga flow classes open to the entire community starting in August. The classes will take place on a monthly basis from 6pm-6:45pm on the following dates:
Wednesday, August 21
Wednesday, September 18
Wednesday, October 16
Wednesday, November 20
Wednesday, December 18
Dr. Goddard believes in a holistic approach to patient care, and accentuating the body’s natural healing process. Her chair yoga class provides all of the benefits of a traditional yoga class, but uses a chair to provide extra support, balance and help with advanced poses.
Chair yoga is suitable and enjoyable for individuals of all ages and levels of experience, and backgrounds, including seniors. A few of the health benefits of chair yoga include:
-improved strength
-improved sense of self-awareness
-a reduction in both stress and pain
-a release of tension in muscles and joints
-improved pain management skills
-a sense of relaxation
-better sleep
It is also great option for people with physical limitations and health challenges such as multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular disease and pulmonary disease.
