In celebration of our 75th anniversary, The Weavers Guild of Greater Cincinnati will host the Gathering of the Guilds (GOTG) on Saturday, September 9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on its grounds at 4870 Gray Road in Spring Grove
Village.

Nine other local guilds are joining the Weavers Guild in this unique event showcasing contemporary interpretations of a wide variety of traditional crafts available in our city.

The festival will also feature a Makers Village with individual artisans selected by juror Cynthia Amneus, Cincinnati Art Museum’s chief curator, and a Mercantile of local businesses offering craft materials and equipment.

Watch demonstrations of blacksmithing, glassblowing, printmaking, weaving, spinning, quilting, art-book design, enameling, gemstone cutting, woodturning, and fabrication with clay.

Shop for a hobby or a high-quality decorative object or wearable. Check out each guild’s class offerings and membership benefits.

All are welcome at this fun, family-friendly festival. And it’s free! (Rain date: Sept. 10)
