John Byrne is a Dublin, Ireland native who is a musician, specifically a singer/songwriter, and the frontman of the band The John Byrne Band. He is now a resident of Philadelphia but frequently travels back to Ireland and hosts group trips. He is known for blending Irish traditional music with modern rock, alt-country, and other roots music styles. With influences ranging from Tom Waits to Planxty, John Byrne's songwriting honors and expands upon the musical and lyrical traditions of his native Ireland and adopted home in the States.
