Wildflowers and Trees of Ohio
This course introduces the diversity of the families of flowering plants we’ll discover at this beautiful time of year. Students will hike outdoors and will learn about native trees, shrubs and wildflowers, and non-native invasive plants. The emphasis will be on plants growing wild in the southwestern Ohio area. Students will learn the plant anatomy and terminology needed to develop their plant identification skills. We will also discuss the ecology of the plants discovered during our field trips.
