Through the play of light and shadow, Na explores the fragility of beauty and the elegence of decay. This body of work focuses on the inevitable transformation of winter flowers and weeds through the passage of time.

Ecuadorian-American artist Ximena Flores presents a series of artwork that explores the beauty and resilience inherent in the natural progression of life, death, and renewal. By repurposing dried flowers and natural fibers, Flores creates work that reflects the interconnectedness that ties us to the natural world.

This is a hand stitching class for experienced beginners, whether you’ve been in my beginning embroidery class or learned your skills elsewhere. We create a beautiful bouquet using different textiles and a variety of stitches that build upon the basics and really explore how to create imagery with embroidery.
