Bonfiglioli to double workforce, celebrates expansion

An Italian company that makes power transmissions for mobile and self-propelled machines, operating near the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport since 2007, has finished an expansion and will hire 42 people.

Thursday Bonfiglioli USA, the company's North American headquarters, celebrated the opening of its first U.S. production line including planetary gearboxes for mobile machinery, used to support the construction, mining, agricultural and forestry industries.

Bonfiglioli USA is a subsidiary of Bonfiglioli Riduttori S.p.A., is based in Bologna, Italy.

Kentucky Lt. Governor Crit Luallen was at the Hebron ribbon cutting. A news release quoted her saying, "More and more companies, both domestic and international, are learning that the Commonwealth has the workforce, infrastructure and support needed to take their operations to even greater heights."

President of Bonfiglioli North America Greg Schulte said, "...we chose the Northern Kentucky region because it had a lot of offer in terms of proximity to the airport and our clients, a solid economic strategy for growth and a talented and diverse workforce."
