SARAH RAMSEY / WVXU
Hamilton County Courthouse

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.

There are 13 candidates on the ballot in Hamilton County for municipal court judge. Voters sometimes head to the polls not knowing who these candidates are or why these seats are important but municipal judges preside over pre-trial hearings and handle misdemeanor cases.

The Cincinnati Bar Associatehas conducted a survey of more than 3,000 membersof the local legal community to rate the 2019 judicial candidates. Joining Cincinnati Edition with the results of that survey and to discuss the importance of judicial races are Cincinnati Bar Association President Joe Heyd; and President-elect Chris Wagner.

For more information on the candidates you can visit the League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area 2019 Voter Guide.
