Dalton York
Dalton York
Dalton York is an undergraduate student at Murray State University, majoring in History and secondary education. A native of Marshall County, Dalton is a proud product of his tight-knit community. He has competed nationally in speech and debate, winning numerous accolades in extemporaneous speaking and radio broadcast. Dalton is also very active in community theatre, appearing on stage and backstage at Playhouse in the Park. Dalton considers himself a "public radio nerd" and is proud to serve his community through WKMS.

Austin Horn is a 2019-2020 Kroc Fellow. He joined NPR after internships at the San Antonio Express-News and Frankfort State-Journal, as well as a couple stints in the service industry. He aims to keep his reporting grounded in the experience of real individuals of all stripes.
Brett Dahlberg
Brett Dahlberg
Brett is the health reporter and a producer at WXXI News. He has a master’s degree from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism and before landing at WXXI, he was an intern at WNYC and with Ian Urbina of the New York Times. He also produced freelance reporting work focused on health and science in New York City. Brett grew up in Bremerton, Washington, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.

Olivia Reingold is the Tribal Issues Correspondent for Yellowstone Public Radio. She was previously a producer for Georgia Public Broadcasting and participated in the NPR program, “Next Generation Radio.” She graduated from Columbia Journalism School, where she reported on opioids and the 12-step recovery program, Narcotics Anonymous. She’s from Washington D.C. and is particularly interested in covering addiction. She likes to sew, just don’t ask her to follow a pattern.

Lydia Taylor is a news intern for WKSU. She is a junior multimedia journalism major at Kent State University with experience in print and visual journalism. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Journalism. During the school year, Taylor works for Kent State Student Media in The Kent Stater and KentWired. She is currently an assigning editor and a reporter in the Kent State University Student Media Newsroom for the spring semester.

Monica reports and produces segments on food, health and ethnic culture in Chicago and beyond.

Colin Jackson
Colin Jackson joined the WKU Public Radio news team in October 2018 as Morning Edition host and reporter. Jackson comes to Kentucky from Michigan where he worked in the newsroom of NPR member station WDET in Detroit. He also has experience as a host and producer with Townsquare Media in Lansing, Michigan and Impact 89FM in East Lansing.

Jim Kent is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. A freelance writer and radio journalist who currently lives in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Jim can be heard on a variety of radio programs including National Public Radio, South Dakota Public Radio, and National Native News Radio. He is also a columnist for the Rapid City Journal and a guest columnist for the Lakota Country Times.

Jake Ryan
Jake Ryan is reporter and producer at KVNF. He received his B.A. in Journalism from Western Illinois University. After serving with Americorps and volunteering for a community radio station in Maryland, he graduated from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. His pieces have been aired on Delmarva Public Radio, Maine Public Broadcasting Network, and New Hampshire Public Radio. He enjoys board games, trying new things, and flying kites.

Kate O’Connell comes to WXXI from Melbourne, Australia, and studied journalism at Royal Melboure Institute of Technology.
