Chicago public radio host Jenn White – who also produced the Chicago station's Making Oprah and Making Obama podcasts – takes over National Public Radio's weekday 1A talk show starting July 6.

Retiring after more than 35 years on public radio, Diane Rehm will host her last live edition of The Diane Rehm Show this Friday.

Joshua Johnson reached into his experience at the Miami Herald for the title of his new NPR show, "A1," which will replace the "Diane Rehm Show" on Jan. 2.

Rehm, 80, who retires at the end of the year, introduced Johnson as her successor Wednesday.
