Appalachia is a cultural region in the eastern United States; its varied inhabitants settled in the hills and mountains of southwest New York to northern Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. In Cincinnati, there is a strong urban Appalachian population — more than half a million people — along with deeply-rooted traditions.

For National Poetry Month, a poem from local poet Pauletta Hansel.

Local educator and poet Pauletta Hansel has released her largest collection of poems, Tangle, and she joins our Barbara Gray to talk about the 100+ pages of her works, created between 2011 and 2015.
