$100 million downtown develop gets underway today

City officials and business leaders will gather this morning for the ground-breaking of a $100 million development on a lot at Fifth and Race streets in downtown Cincinnati that has stood vacant for nearly 30 years.

The lot will be home to the new four-story, 280,000 square foot headquarters of  dunnhumbyUSA and will include a 1,000 space parking garage and 35,000 square feet of commercial space.

Ground will be broken at 11 a.m. today.

The Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. - 3CDC - will be the city of Cincinnati's development manager for the site.

Originally, the company, which aids companies in marketing their products and connecting with customers, was to have had 650 employees, but now says that, because of the company's recent growth, it will eventually have as many as 1,200 employees working at the Fifth and Race site.
