Local artist and author Loren Long recently released Otis and the Puppy, the latest in his Otis the Tractor series of children’s books. He stops by to talk with our Barbara Gray about this new book and what new Otis books are in the works.
Robyn Carey-Allgeyer welcomes to the studio Jennifer Jensen, director of The Skirball Museum at Hebrew Union College; and children’s author Linda Leopold Strauss, whose book about Passover, The Elijah Door, will be the focus of a six-week exhibition of the book’s illustrations at The Skirball. The exhibit runs through March 31, and that day will feature a family-friendly talk by the author at the museum.
Now that the kids are off for a couple of weeks, and you’re done with opening presents and spending money on presents, what will you do until school starts again? How about a trip to the library? And not just to check out books, but to enjoy a couple of exhibitions that even adults will enjoy.
