Art Academy of Cincinnati Celebrating 145 Years And 10 In Over The Rhine

The Art Academy of Cincinnati began as the University of Cincinnati McMicken School of Drawing and Design, founded in 1869. In 1887 the school moved to a facility adjacent to the Cincinnati Art Museum and changed its official name to the Art Academy of Cincinnati. And ten years ago, the Art Academy relocated its campus to Over-the-Rhine. Joining us for a look at the mission, history, and future, of the Art Academy of Cincinnati are President John Sullivan, Dean Kim Krause, and Vice President of Institutional Advancement, External Relations and Community Education, Joan Kaup.

The Art Academy of Cincinnati Alumni Association hosts the 2015 Beaux Arts Ball on October 23, in celebration of the Academy?'s 10th anniversary in Over-the-Rhine. For information, click here.
