The Impact Of The Department Of Labor's New Overtime Rule On Workers & Businesses

en.wikipedia.org

Last month, the U.S. Department of Labor released its new overtime rule, which is expected to make millions of salaried management, administrative and professional employees eligible for overtime pay.

But Senate Republicans are trying to block the new rule from going into effect on December 1, 2016, as scheduled.

Joining us to examine details of the new rule and how it could affect employers and employees are Director of The Economics Center at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Julie Heath; Employee Benefit Specialist and Partner with SEBS, Strategic Employee Benefit Services, Jennifer Homer; and Partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Peaselaw firm, Angela Gibson.
