Joe Kwaczala is a Los Angeles-based comedian who began his career in Chicago but grew up in Pittsburgh. He has performed as one of Comedy Central's "Up Next" Comics to Watch, made his television debut with his Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents half-hour special, and released the special Recommended Based on Your Search History with Helium Comedy Studios. He’s also known for releasing 31 videos in one day, a feat that garnered praise from Vulture and The A.V. Club. A select number of these sketches were compiled into a pilot called Kwaczala, which won “Best Late Night Series” at Seriesfest and was declared Funniest Show at Seriesfest by Paste Magazine. The series can be watched in full on Amazon Prime. Joe pulled off another successful one-day video drop with “21 for ‘21” and currently releases weekly short sketches with his girlfriend, actress Hayley McFarland. All told, Joe’s online videos have accumulated more than 100 million views. His new feature film American Comic is playing as part of Cincinnati's Cindependent Film Festival this year.
Commonwealth Comedy Club is Cincinnati’s home for exquisitely curated live entertainment. Each week we bring you hilarious stand-up comedians, intimate concerts, unique theater productions, live podcast recordings, and so much more.
Commonwealth Comedy Club is housed in the recently renovated, historic former Tower Methodist Church, originally built in 1914. It is no longer a church! Rather, we have converted the purpose of this beautiful old building to bringing you exquisitely curated live entertainment. We have, however, gone to great lengths to preserve the original character of the building while updating for it’s new purpose. We retained all the original stained glass windows and custom-built, curved pews.
We have added a full concession stand with draft beer and wine, as well as many canned drinks, including cocktails. We partner with local Dayton, KY business Kate’s Catering for our prepared food options. We have added full lighting and sound systems, as well as a complete broadcast-quality video system for recording events and live podcasts. We are exclusively partnered with Third Rule Media to produce our recorded content.

The musical that redefined musicals.
One of ETC’s most popular productions returns! Diana Goodman is a suburban mom struggling with bipolar disorder. Her daughter, Natalie, is a stressed-out overachiever ready to snap. And Dan, her exhausted architect husband, is determined to keep everything “normal.” As Diana’s symptoms worsen and effective treatment remains elusive, the Goodmans must finally connect and learn how to see each other for who they truly are. A cathartic and empathetic triumph of contemporary musical theatre, Next to Normal features soaring rock music, unforgettable characters, and a gripping, emotionally resonant story that echoes long after the final note.
