Cincinnati continues to rank 10th overall among a list of 12 similar regions when it comes to 15 indicators including jobs, cost of living, and population.
The findings come in the latest Regional Indicators report from Vision 2015 and Agenda 360. Vision 2015 President Bill Scheyer says the Goal of the report which comes out ever two years is to establish a common set of indicators to reflect the economic performance of the region.
Cincinnati Ranked 5th for the percent of the population whose income falls below 200 percent of the federal poverty level and ranked second in the housing opportunity index. The region remained in 6th place for jobs, but there was a recorded net gain in jobs between 2010 and 2011. Cincinnati ranked 10th overall compared to other cities including Charlotte, Indianapolis and Saint Louis.
Executive Director of Agenda 360, Mary Stagaman says while the region still comes in 10th overall, she says she's pleased to see an increase in educational attainment. This is the second time the report has been completed.
