Choosing Family Size

NOTE: This program originally aired on August 27, 2013.

An increasing number of people today are deciding not to have children, or to limit the number of children they do have. Northern Kentucky University Associate Professor of Sociology, Dr. Barbara Arrighi, NKU Associate Professor of Economics, Dr. Linda Dynan, and Dr. Alan Singer, therapist and author  of “Creating Your Perfect Family Size,” explore the reasons more people are limiting the size of their families, and what affects that could have, on individuals and society as whole.

In 2005, Maryanne Zeleznik came to 91.7 WVXU from WNKU where she served as News and Public Affairs Director for 20 years. At WVXU she is responsible for all news and public affairs programming, hosts Morning Edition Monday through Friday, and fills in to host Cincinnati Edition. As time allows, she covers daily news, produces local features, and contributes news stories to National Public Radio.
