Melodic Connections and the many benefits of music therapy for special needs individuals

Melodic Connections
Enriching the lives of special needs individuals through music.

Music can have immense therapeutic value in improving the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of an individual. Those taking part in music therapy programs can gain self-confidence, discover new ways to express themselves, and learn social skills that can help them be successful in other aspects of their lives. A local non-profit organization, Melodic Connections, works to enrich the lives of special needs individuals through musical expression and performance. Here to discuss their programs and classes are Melodic Connections founder and Executive Director Betsey Zenk Nuseibeh, who is also a special educator and music therapist, and music therapist Christina McCracken.
