On Tuesday, UC Health opened a new drive-through screening and testing clinic on its Clifton campus. Testing for the coronavirus will be available by appointment by a doctor's order or by calling ahead.
Also this week, UC Health has put up tents outside the emergency departments at two of its hospitals. According to UC Health Director of Media Relations Amanda Nageleisen the tents are being used as “respiratory waiting rooms" for any patients who come with respiratory symptoms that could be caused by the novel coronavirus. The tents are located outside the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and West Chester Hospital.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss UC Health's response to the coronavirus is UC Health Associate Chairman of Medicine for Translational Research and Professor of Clinical Medicine Carl Fichtenbaum, MD.
Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
