There is no shortage of political news in an ever-changing, fast-moving cycle. The Associated Press is responsible for disseminating information not only to the public but to other media outlets.
So, how are decisions made at this legacy news agency on what to cover, and how to do so?
Steven Sloan is the AP news editor overseeing politics and visited Northern Kentucky University last month as part of the Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement's Six@Six lecture series.
