How To Watch The Funeral Mass For Archbishop Pilarczyk
The retired Archbishop of the Cincinnati Archdiocese, Daniel E. Pilarczyk, who retired in 2009 as the longest tenured archbishop in the country, died March 22 at the age of 85. The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is making his Friday funeral available for people to watch via livestream.
Pilarchzyk's funeral mass begins at 11 a.m. on March 27, at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. Those who wish to join in the celebration of his life can watch the proceedings live below. It will also be available to watch on Facebook Live and StreamSpot.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Pilarchzyk was ordained a priest in Dec. 1959 after studying at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome, beginning a rise through the ranks of the Roman Catholic hierarchy which led him in Dec. 1982 to become the archbishop of a 19-county diocese that is the 44th largest in the county and includes his hometown of Dayton.
He retired as an archbishop on Dec. 21, 2009 – the day after the 50th anniversary of his ordination as a priest.
