Supporters of President Donald Trump enter the Senate Chamber inside the Capitol, Wednesday, Jan. 6, with U.S. Capitol Police officers nearby.

After pro-Trump extremists stormed the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, many are examining how law enforcement treated them compared to the protestors this summer - including here in Cincinnati - who took to the streets after the police killing of George Floyd.

WVXU's Maryanne Zeleznik talked with Professor of Law at the University of Dayton Thaddeus Hoffmeister about what happened.

Maryanne Zeleznik is responsible for all news and public affairs programming at WVXU. She also hosts Morning Edition Monday through Friday.
