Biden's Popularity Steady Despite GOP Roadblocks To Agenda

President Joe Biden is enjoying steady popularity in the White House.

Polling averages show that the Democrat has hovered around 54% approval since he was inaugurated in January, much higher than his predecessor, Donald Trump. Meanwhile, the same polling average shows 40% disapproval.

The steady poll numbers are in spite of consistent Republican objections to the president's and Democrats' agenda. The efforts to create a commission to investigate the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, an ambitious national infrastructure plan, and other key issues are uncertain in their current proposed forms.

Additionally, Republicans are dealing with their own stumbling blocks, ousting Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from House leadership for her objection to Trump's claims that the 2020 election was stolen, and the party is also figuring out how to handle some of the upstart freshmen members of Congress who tweet and say controversial things.
