Like many industries, nonprofits are feeling the economic pinch caused by the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. But beyond money woes, local organizations are also working to let potential volunteers and board members know there are safe ways to join up.
Cincinnati Cares, which assists nonprofits in a variety of ways, including in the matching of potential board members and volunteers, is launching a variety of opportunities over the next several weeks.
On Cincinnati Edition, we are joined by Cincinnati Cares CEO Doug Bolton; Center for Independent Living Options Director Rob Ferenstein; and Bethany Doverspike, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Director of Institutional Giving about the upcoming events, which can be found here.
Ferenstein worked with Cincinnati Cares to bring in a new board member while Doverspike joined the board of the Recovery Center of Hamilton County through the program.
Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
