Students with disabilities can now get up to $7,000 in state funding starting this fall.

UC has said the university is working to fix its housing shortage on campus by renovating existing dorms and directing students to off-campus housing options in the private market. But some students say it isn't enough.

The $80 million upgrade includes updated rooms, common areas and more efficient utilities and appliances. The project also expanded the space to accommodate 220 additional students than the original Calhoun Hall.
