The gorilla at the center of a dispute between the Cincinnati Zoo and the California-based The Gorilla Foundation is back in the Queen City. Ndume is a 37-year-old silverback.

A federal judge in California is granting the Cincinnati Zoo's request to transfer a gorilla named "Ndume" to Cincinnati on June 13, despite objections from The Gorilla Foundation where he's been living since 1991.

A dispute between the Cincinnati Zoo and The Gorilla Foundation continues despite a federal judge's ruling earlier this week. The zoo Thursday filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Francisco asking that Judge Richard Seeborg enforce a transfer date of June 13 for a gorilla named "Ndume."

The Cincinnati Zoo is moving ahead with its lawsuit seeking the return of a 37-year-old gorilla from The Gorilla Foundation in California. The zoo filed additional court documents late Thursday in federal court in San Francisco.
