Multiple media sources are reporting Lordstown Motors owner, Cincinnati's Steve Burns, plans to make electric trucks for fleets at GM's plant in Lordstown, which shuttered in March.

Steve Burns is a man of big ideas. In December 2017 he proudly showed off Workhorse's electric pick-up truck to WVXU, was perfecting drone delivery off the company's electric delivery trucks and touted his personal flying machine. Now he is planning to buy the GM Lordstown plant.

In a series of tweets, President Trump has announced the Loveland company Workhorse is buying GM's idled Lordstown plant and will start manufacturing electric trucks there.

Born out of a dream to avoid traffic jams, Workhorse CEO Steve Burns has built an electric helicopter. The Loveland company known for its electric delivery trucks will show off its personal flying machine at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
