Creative Asian Society will have its annual exhibition to celebrate AAPI month at the Elevar Design Group gallery in downtown Cincinnati. The exhibition is titled Dragon, Etc., The eleven artists in the exhibition each interpret the images and concept of dragons differently.
The art will be available for viewing on Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm, starting May 4th and continuing to May 25th. The art is also available for viewing during Elevar’s normal business hours, 9am-4pm, from April 22nd to May 31st.

About the Artist:
Brad Davis is a Cincinnati-based painter whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He earned his BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Brad's paintings are in the permanent collections of renowned institutions like the Union League of Philadelphia and Capital One Bank.
"My paintings are centered around the urban environment and seek to transform its banality through careful and personal reconstruction," says Brad Davis. "Through painting Cincinnati's ever-changing landscape, I hope to preserve what will inevitably be lost: those treasures that become our city's heirlooms.”

On Friday May 3rd, from 6pm to 9:30pm, there will performances and demonstrations by the artists as well as refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.

We are going to tackle one of the most procrastinated tasks: organizing and cleaning up our photo, video & memorabilia collections! Whether you have several shoeboxes or tubs of old photos, a clogged up computer hard-drive & phone, or children's artwork threatening to take over your home - we are going to whip them into shape! This will be a workshop format with a brief instructional period followed by time to put each teaching into action! We will have an introductory Zoom call prior to the first week of class to ensure you are ready for the first week! Each week will have 'homework'. Let's get our memories into shape! There is an optional class fee of $40 that will be discussed before class.
This is a great introduction to tai chi. You will get all of the fundamentals with this easy to learn short set of moves appropriate for people of all ages and fitness levels. The slow gentle movements are ideal for building strength no matter what your previous activity level. The emphasis on breathing, posture, and a relaxed mental focus can be beneficial to practitioners at all abilities. Be assured that most people face a bit of a learning curve when they begin tai chi classes, but this focus on new and unfamiliar movement is also why tai chi has so many benefits for both the mind and the body.
